WHEN: AFAL Conversation Groups meet every Wednesday evening from October to June (excluding school holidays). WHERE: At the Parish Centre of Narbonne, at the corner of rue Francis Marcero and rue Garibaldi at 18h30. The groups consist mostly of French and English people; although other nationalities do join in to improve their English or French or both! The mix of languages and cultures work really well in a relaxed environment. There are different levels in each group - from basic to advanced. There is no pressure to speak but each person is encouraged to try. An animator is assigned to facilitate each group which aims to split the time into roughly 50% French and 50% English conversation A range of topics are discussed from the practical - how to make compost, how to grow Meditteranean Plants - to the cultural. TIMINGS: A normal group sessions runs for 90 minutes, followed by a glass of wine, tea or coffee when all the groups gather together. COST: 15€ per annum PARKING: Please use the car park area to the right, and not the private spaces to the left. |
Les groupes de conversation ont lieu tous les mercredis au centre paroissial de Narbonne, à l'angle des rues Francis Marcero et Garibaldi à 18H30. Pas de réunion pendant les vacances scolaires. Les groupes de conversation ont plusieurs niveaux, et on mélange français et non-français. Pour chaque groupe il y a un animateur; les francophones aident les anglophones et vice versa. Chaque semaine un thème est choisi en avance pour qu'on puisse préparer un petit discours et/ou écrire quelques phrases sur un tableau - si on en a envie... Le coût: €15 par an.
